Marienlyst bonnet is knitted top-down in one piece. First, the top middle section is knitted. Then, stitches are picked up on each side of the middle section and the rest of the hat is knitted. Further, a rib edge is knitted in the front and around the neck. Finally, braided strings are attached to each corner of the lower edge of the hat.

Sizes: Newborn (3-6 mos) 9-12 mos (18-24 mos) 

Technique: Stockinette stitch with pattern

Knit tension: 25 stitches stockinette stitch = 10 cm

Yarn suggestion: Merino wool ca 150-180 m/50 g

Needle size: 3,0-3,5 mm // 40 cm circular needle and dpn
