The Elisenberg balaclava Light is knitted top-down in stockinette stitch. The balaclava has a slightly loose fit that isn't tight around the neck. First, the top is knitted with increases. Then, stitches are cast off for the face opening, and knitting continues back and forth before rejoining in the round. The balaclava finishes with a front and back piece. Finally, stitches are picked up around the face opening, and a ribbing is knitted.

Technique: Stockinette stitch
Gauge: 28 stitches in stockinette stitch = 10 cm

Use ½ needle size smaller for the ribbing
