The Riddervold bonnet is knitted flat in a textured pattern from the front towards the back of the head. The back of the head is then knitted in stockinette stitch in the round using double-pointed needles, with decreases. Finally, an i-cord string is knitted at each corner of the bonnet's lower edge.

Sizes: 1 month (3 months) 6 months (1 year) 2 years
Technique: Textured knitting
Gauge: 24 stitches stockinette stitch = 10 cm
Needle size: 3.5 mm / 60 cm circular needle and double-pointed needles
Use ½ needle size smaller for the edge
Yarn quantity meters: Approx. 80 (80) 100 (120) 150 meters
Yarn recommendation: Como/Lamana or Classic/Cardiff
